A bottle of pure essential oil or an aromatherapy blend that is not a cosmetic product is regulated as a chemical under CLP. Most essential oils are classified as hazardous – for example as skin sensitisers, aspiration hazards or hazardous to the aquatic environment.

- Packaging requirements such as child-resistant fastenings and tactile warnings where the classification requires them
