Many products sold alongside cosmetics – raw materials, essential oils, fragrance mixtures, candles, diffusers and detergents – are regulated as chemicals. They need a compliant Safety Data Sheet, correct CLP classification and labelling and, for hazardous mixtures, a UFI code.
Our services
- Safety Data Sheets according to REACH (Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006) and CLP (Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008)
- Calculation of the mixture classification based on the formula of the product
- Label design and a final check of the CLP label, pictograms and hazard statements
- UFI (Unique Formula Identifier) codes and Poison Centre Notifications through the ECHA Submission portal
- Supervision of substances and ongoing, up-to-date classification of the whole product
What is a UFI?
The UFI is a 16-character code printed on the label of mixtures classified for health or physical hazards. It links the product to the information submitted to poison centres, so they can give fast and accurate advice in an emergency.
Finished cosmetic products are exempt from the REACH Safety Data Sheet and CLP labelling rules – but the raw materials, fragrances and essential oils you buy and sell are not. Not sure what applies to your product? Ask us. We will never sell you a service that is not required.
